چکیده

A 30-day study was carried out to determine the influence of different weaning strategies (WS) on growth and survival rates, stress resistance, digestive enzyme activities whole body fatty acid profiles in yellowfin seabream (Acanthopagrus latus) larvae. Thus, eight WS were designed by combining live foods (LF) (rotifers Artemia) a microdiet (MD) (Gemma Micro™, Skretting). In control group (100 LF), larvae fed only LF (100%), including enriched rotifers (from 2 20 days post hatching, dph) Artemia (nauplii + metanauplii, from 18 30 dph). The other treatments based proportions with MD: 75LF-25MD, 50LF-50MD, 25LF-75MD 100 MD which 25, 50, 75 100% that applied replaced fixed ration MD, respectively. addition, for determining appropriate time weaning, three including: sudden (SW): weaned rotifer 5 hatch (dph); early (EW): 14 dah late (LW): nauplii 12 Larvae hand-fed hourly 08:00 h 18:00 (11 times day). Results showed lowest rates found among 100MD (1.5%) SW (1.9%) groups, whereas highest 100LF (31.0 ± 1.7%), 75LF-25MD (34.7 4.5%) 50LF-50MD (36.2 4.0%). resistance against air exposure (70.0%) osmotic (100.0%) challenges. At end trial, 100LF, LW groups higher performance than groups. dph, had level alkaline phosphatase leucine-alanine peptidase ratio, while those 100MD, EW ones. profile reflected diet. particular, generally lower levels n-3 long chain polyunsaturated acids compared treatments. conclusion, results present indicated proportion remarkably affect terms growth, survival, function tolerance. replacement up 50% after mouth opening neither have detrimental effects enzymes activities, meanwhile enhanced A. latus

Assessment of Skin Pathological Responses in the Yellowfin Seabream (Acanthopagrus latus) under the Aeromonas hydrophila Exposure

Background: Bacterial diseases in cultured fish are considered the main problem to aquaculture system. Skin is the structure that covers the body in fish. Skin histopatological alterations were used to assess the effects of Aeromonas hydrophila exposure on the yellowfin seabream )Acanthopagrus latus(. Methods: In this regard, 90 A. latus were exposed to sublethal concentrations of A. hydrophil...

Seasonal Changes of Morphometric Structure and Plasma Hormone Levels of Thyroid Gland in Persian Gulf Yellowfin Seabream (Acanthopagrus latus)

Seasonal changes of the thyroid gland structure and hormones secretion was examined in yellowfin seabream Acanthopagrus latus in Persian Gulf (Zangi branch, Musa creek). Thyroid gland composed of follicles scattered around the ventral aorta, near the gills. Follicular cells varied according to secretion of the gland during warm and cold seasons. Thyroid hormones (Triidothyronine [T3] and Thyrox...

Determination of heavy metals in Acanthopagrus latus (Yellowfin seabream) from the Bushehr seaport (coastal of Persian Gulf), Iran

In this study, bioaccumulation of lead, copper, cadmium, zinc and mercury in gill, liver and muscle of Acanthopagrus latus (Yellowfin seabream) was quantified. The concentrations of heavy metals were determined by using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) after wet digestion method. The result comprise of concentration level of Cu2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ in ten differen...

Mercury Accumulation in Body Tissues of Yellowfin Seabream (Acanthopagrus Latus) under Sublethal Concentrations

In the present study, Mercury (Hg) accumulation in different tissues of Yellowfin seabream under different Hg concentrations in the medium were investigated. For this, PurPuse 45 fish specimen of the same size (19.2±1.8cm and 134.0±36.1 g) were caught from Musa Estuary, in northwest of the Persian Gulf and transferred to the laboratory. Fish were divided into five different groups of 9 fish ...
